A homophone is a word that is
pronounced the same as another
word but differs in meaning.   A
short example of a homophone is
the words "know" and "no".
(Wikepedia)

Each sentence has a
homophone.  Figure out the
homophone and go get the
object.  For example, the first
homophone is chilly.  Find a can
or package of chili.

It was a chilly(can of chili) fall
night.  The wind blew(blue).
The bats(baseball bat)
swooped.  My Aunt(ant)
decided to take a walk to the
store.  On the way she spied
a dog that began to bark(bark
of a tree).  It looked like the
dog was trying to bury(berry)
a bone.  As she got closer my
aunt saw the dog had found a
cache(cash) of jewels.  The
dog came over to smell her
scent(cent).  As the dog
sniffed her, my aunt read(red)
the dog’s tag.  The serial
(cereal) number was 23232.
There was also a name on
the tag, “colonel,”(popcorn
kernel) with an address.
“Would(wood) you like to go
home?” she asked the dog.
She walked the dog home to
25 Flour(flower) Street.  The
woman was pale(pail) when
she handed back the jewels
but she eventually found her
voice and invited my aunt in
for coffee.
