Homophones story

www.scavengerhuntsforkids.com

A homophone is a word that is
pronounced the same as another
word but differs in meaning.   A
short example of a homophone is
the words "know" and "no".
(Wikepedia)

Each sentence has a homophone.
Figure out the homophone and go
get the object.

It was a chilly, fall night.  The
wind blew.  The bats
swooped.  My Aunt decided to
take a walk to the store.  On
the way she spied a dog that
began to bark.  It looked like
the dog was trying to bury a
bone.  As she got closer my
aunt saw the dog had found a
cache of jewels.  The dog
came over to smell her scent.
As the dog sniffed her, my aunt
read the dog’s tag.  The serial
number was 23232.  There was
also a name on the tag,
“colonel,” with an address.
“Would you like to go home?”
she asked the dog.  She
walked the dog home to 25
Flour Street.  The woman was
pale when she handed back the
jewels but she eventually found
her voice and invited my aunt in
for coffee.
